Few recruitment functions can operate efficiently without the support of suitable technology. Although it is often a misconception that therefore significant investment is required. Getting the best out of technology and ensuring it effectively supports the recruitment process is something we are passionate about. There are a range of aspects to our focus on technology;
Define - Sometimes our clients will have no technology or legacy technology supporting the recruitment process, and the business case can be made to source an alternative solution. Sometimes our clients are looking to procure an outsourced recruitment service incorporating technology delivery. In scenarios like these, understanding and defining the requirements for the technology to be procured is a vital first step in ensuring the desired benefits are achieved.
Select - Selecting a technology provider and/or evaluating the technology proposed by an outsourced provider is a process riddled with potential pitfalls. Having been involved in both sides of this process on many occasions, we understand these pitfalls and help and support our clients towards making an informed decision.
Design - There are two strands to the design function we deliver. Over the years we have been responsible for designing aspects of some of the leading technology solutions on the market. Working with the technology providers we have produced functional designs, particularly focussing on the functionality to support contingent labour recruitment and associated back office processes. Many of the solutions we work with are also highly configurable, designing the configurations to support the specific requirements of our clients is an important aspect of the implementation work we do.
Implement - A technology provider that expects their client to fully manage an implementation or a client that expects the provider to fully manage an implementation are both recipes for a poor implementation. The reality is that both parties need to fully resource and support the implementation process. Working on behalf of the client or the provider (but never both at the same time!!) we have experience of many systems implementations and how to ensure they go as smoothly as possible.
Integrate - Integrating two systems together can often deliver considerable efficiency gains. However, integrations are viewed as a black art and the many horror stories about failed IT projects hampered by poor integrations, only serve to perpetuate this myth. It genuinely doesn't have to be a painful experience provided expectations are correctly set and the potential pitfalls can be avoided. We have a great deal of experience of helping our clients successfully negotiate this path.
MI - It is our belief that facts, not anecdotes, should be at the heart of any business decision, and this is equally true for recruitment. There are many facets to ensuring the effectiveness of recruitment MI and ensuring it supports effective decision making. We have designed and built MI suites for many organisations over the years and are passionate about working with our clients to meet their needs in this area.
Optimise - Often, implementing new technology is not the right solution for many of our clients. Getting the best out of existing technology is a far more cost effective solution to their needs. The highly configurable nature of many solutions these days supports this process. Wherever possible we will work with our clients to optimise their technology solutions to help them relaise the desired improvements and benefits.
